"holiday" weekend

A lot happened over the past few days. But even for our three-day weekend it was hardly a "holiday" - we were busy decorating (other parts of the house), demolishing, building, and setting up the new kitchen! Things are still in process but we put together almost all of the cabinets and Dave (Craig's dad) and Craig worked on all of the set-up in the kitchen. It's quite a process!

This past weekend we worked on the guest bedroom. Craig painted the bedroom and I worked on the closet...and he finished the trim! It's coming along. I should have pictures of the "final" product tomorrow or Wednesday! We went to IKEA on Saturday and spent about five hours there - designing the kitchen! Here are a few pictures from that adventure, too. Also, we had a visitor hanging out at our house!

I am SO excited to share this blog post with you! Craig and I had quite a busy week last week - coming back from Portland, continuing to unpack, winning a game at our kickball league and then I also had to fight off a cold! On Friday I bought a sewing machine so now I can make curtains when Craig's mom comes out to visit!! :)

However, the most exciting news is that our bedroom is complete and all set up. Craig worked so hard from Friday to Sunday finishing the base trim for the bedroom and putting all of the final touches together. I left last night to teach yoga and when I returned, our entire bed frame was assembled and set up by Craig!
